What sad occurrence weighs on your heart today? Are you suffering right now? If so, then be grateful because you can turn your wounds into wisdom! Failure to let go of past heartaches and holding onto grudges and anger will only cause harm to your life. Trials are the proof of how strong you are. Don’t let the pain destroy you, use that pain instead as a stepping stone towards overcoming your struggles and walk out from the prison of past pains triumphantly. Allow your pain to mold you and use your pain to bless others. Comfort those people who are experiencing the same pain you had before and even through the pain you have now. God is faithful. When He is in your heart, you can live a fulfilling life. Walk in His ways and you will truly appreciate all the days He gives you, including those painful days. When you know your life is safe in the hands of God and that this physical life is just the beginning of eternity, then you will realize how desperately you need God and how God is faithful far beyond your desperation. Offer your life to Him in fresh gratitude. Life on earth doesn’t go on forever. Find new passion to delight in the gifts of each and every day, and take none of them for granted. Worry will not lessen your sorrow; it will only suck out the joy that today brings. Anxiety only results in wrinkles; putting your confidence in God gives your face a natural glow! Don’t stay in the valley of tears. Soak yourself in God’s ocean of mercy. God cares for you so much. He is always watching, coaching and offering encouragement at the right time. God’s love touches your life the most during your darkest moments. If you have the patience to wait and see, your sorrow will be turned to joy. Remember that God listens to every silent soul prayer with empathy and love. Don’t fret about so many things in life to the point of thinking that Jesus doesn’t care. Be happy now. Suffering is a gift and pain is essential. Growing up is all about getting hurt and getting over it. Pain passes away but it never leaves you empty; it will always leave you changed, wiser and stronger and it leaves a mark in your heart. There is joy in suffering if you suffer out of love. Every time you feel pain, you need to add more love. Your suffering is your way to proclaim the presence of God. It is essential for you so you can express your presence in the sufferings of others. You can give more love to those who suffer if you’ve gone through a lot yourself. Through pain, you will have the wisdom to understand other people’s sentiments. Everything is passing; to worry excessively isn’t healthy. Surrender everything to the Lord. There’s nothing you can’t handle because God is in you. You have to make spending time with God your priority. The more you pray, the stronger you become to face life’s adversities. Happiness is a choice and there’s no happier life than living it not only for yourself but also for God and others. Elly Roberts is an author, speaker, and artist.
